Foundation vs Practitioner: which level is right for you?

PRINCE2 Agile® Foundation is the starting point. It validates that you understand the framework, its principles, and how PRINCE2 and Agile fit together. Ideal if you're new to PRINCE2 Agile® or work alongside hybrid projects rather than running them.

PRINCE2 Agile® Practitioner is the applied level. It validates your ability to tailor PRINCE2 to a specific agile context and is required if you'll actually lead or manage hybrid projects. Practitioner is where most working project managers land.

Is PRINCE2 Agile® recognised internationally? Yes. PRINCE2 Agile® is awarded by PeopleCert and is recognised by employers across Europe, and worldwide. It's one of the most widely accepted hybrid project management certifications globally.

What are the prerequisites for the PRINCE2 Agile® Curriculum? PRINCE2 Agile® Foundation has no prerequisites. For the Practitioner level, you'll need the PRINCE2 Agile Foundation certification.

How long is the PRINCE2 Agile® certification valid? PeopleCert certifications follow a three-year renewal cycle. You can maintain your certification by joining the PeopleCert "Membership Plus" and earning CPD points, or by re-sitting the exam or sitting another exam of the PRINCE2 product family.

Is the exam included in the training price? Yes. All B2B Learning PRINCE2 Agile® courses include the official PeopleCert exam voucher.

Can I take PRINCE2 Agile® training online? Yes. We offer three formats: in-person classroom training in Brussels, Liège, Antwerp and Gent; live virtual instructor-led sessions; and fully self-paced eLearning with the official PeopleCert digital course.

What's the difference between PRINCE2 Agile® and PRINCE2® 7?

PRINCE2® is the core project management method focused on governance and structured delivery. PRINCE2 Agile® extends PRINCE2® with explicit guidance on how to apply it in agile and hybrid environments, integrating with frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, and Lean Startup.
