Project, Programme & Portfolio Governance Professional (P3GP®) Certification Training Bridge the strategy–delivery gap and embed governance as a core organisational capability with P3GP®

Too many projects and programmes fail not because of poor management, but because of weak or missing governance. The Project, Programme and Portfolio Governance Professional (P3GP®) certification changes that.

Structured around the ten core principles of P3G, the course offers a flexible, principles-based framework that works in agile, hybrid, and traditional delivery environments. Case studies and practical exercises bring the learning to life, ensuring participants can apply governance confidently in their organisations.

Course & Learning Objectives

By the end of this 3-day P3G certification training, participants will:

• Understand the role and value of governance in project, programme, and portfolio environments, and how it differs from day-to-day management.
• Be able to define and apply the core principles of effective P3 governance to strengthen oversight, accountability, and strategic alignment.
• Know how to design and implement fit-for-purpose governance structures, roles, decision rights, and assurance mechanisms tailored to their organisation.
• Be equipped to foster evidence-based decision-making and prioritisation across initiatives of varying scale and complexity.
• Gain practical skills to assess current governance practices and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Have confidence in preparing for and approaching the P3GP^® certification exam, including key concepts and exam-style scenarios.

Training Programme

This 3 day course starts at 09:00 and finishes at ± 16:00.

Learning Approach: Lectures, group exercises, case studies, quizzes, and a mock exam.

Exam Details:

• Format: 50 multiple-choice questions
• Duration: 90 minutes
• Passing score: 50%
• One free retake if you fail at the 1^st attempt
• Open book: you can use a hard copy of the P3G guide or the eBook version of the guide.
