Training objectives

A 5-day ISO/IEC 42001 Lead Implementer training course to :

• Discover the key concepts and fundamental characteristics of an AIMS compliant with ISO/IEC 42001.
• Understand ISO/IEC 42001 and learn how to apply, adapt and integrate it within an organization.
• Explore and master the processes and practices required to implement, monitor and continuously improve an effective AIMS.
• Acquire the skills needed to manage AI projects on time, on budget and to meet quality requirements.
• Identify the stakeholders in an AI project and understand their role in ensuring successful implementation.
• Discuss issues related to communication, risk management and change management in AI systems.
• Prepare for the ISO/IEC 42001 Lead Implementer certification exam and take the exam at the end of the course.

This training alternates between theoretical presentations, practical exercises based on case studies, quizzes and mock exams to prepare effectively for certification. Participants will also have time to discuss the concepts covered.

Homework: We recommend that you set aside one or two hours each evening to review the concepts and prepare for the exam.

Exam content

This 5-day intensive training course starts at 09:00 and ends at around 17:00 each day.

The schedule below is indicative and can be adjusted by the trainer according to the needs of the group.

Day 1: Introduction to ISO/IEC 42001 and launching an AIMS implementation

Day 2: Planning an AIMS implementation

Day 3: Implementing AIMS

Day 4: AIMS follow-up, continuous improvement and certification audit preparation

Day 5: Certification exam

Who should attend?

This course is aimed at professionals involved in the management and implementation of AI projects, such as project managers, AI consultants, implementation team members, and anyone wishing to master the ISO/IEC 42001 standard for setting up an artificial intelligence management system.

Prerequisites

Although knowledge of ISO/IEC 42001 is not essential, a basic understanding of management systems and artificial intelligence projects is recommended.

Exam information

ISO/IEC 42001 Lead Implementer training culminates in a certification exam. During the course, two mock exams will be offered to help participants familiarize themselves with the official exam format.

• Exam duration: 2 hours (120 minutes)
• Format: Multiple-choice questions (MCQs)
• Number of questions: Generally around 80 to 100 questions
• Pass mark: 70% correct answers to pass
• Closed book exam: No reference material allowed during the exam.
• Language: Available in several languages, including English and French
• A second attempt for the exam is included, should the first attempt be unsuccessful.
