Courses Lean IT Foundation are available in English, French and Dutch in Brussels and Luxemburg.

Lean IT is an extension of Lean manufacturing and Lean services principles, applied in the development and management of information technology products and services. The approach is a way of thinking and acting, focussing heavily on organizational culture.

Many organizations have adopted Lean IT in order to increase customer satisfaction and to achieve greater strategic and financial value. Companies will minimize waste and produce high quality with the Lean method.  Lean IT is complementary to other frameworks such as ITIL.

Course Objectives

By the end of the course you will:

• Have an insight into what Lean IT can mean for an organization.
• Be familiar with and have knowledge of the basic concepts of Lean and its core principles.
• Be acquainted with the use of several Lean IT analysis tools and have an understanding of the application of the Lean IT philosophy in an IT environment.
• Have an understanding of the application of the Lean philosophy in an IT environment.
• Apply the principles of Lean IT practices to provide necessary insight into business services and support IT assets, employees and processes.
• Align business services with IT to evaluate a service delivery solution and identify and reduce non-value adding activity.

Who Should Attend ?

Management and employees of any organization planning to introduce lean need to have a basic understanding of lean thinking. There are no specific prerequisites to attend the course.

Exam & Certificate

The purpose of the Lean IT Foundation certificate is to certify that you have gained knowledge of the Lean IT terminology, structure and basic concepts and has comprehended the core principles of Lean IT practices. The Lean IT qualification has been awarded 0.5 credits of the 6 complementary credits available to put towards the ITIL Expert certification.

The Lean Foundation exam is a multiple choice exam of 50 questions. 25 marks or 50 % are required to pass. Exam duration is 60 minutes.
